What are some cultural things Muslims adapted from other religions?

I need to write a report on it.
For instance, some Muslims wear a black thread on their wrist because it wards off the evil eye.
Yet, it was adapted from Hinduism making it bad for Islam.

I need some more examples.
PLEASE HELP!
I am NOT talking about terrorism or whatever.
I am talking about those old wives tales your mother might have told you that were taken from another religion.

I am talking about cultural things that Muslims took and adapted into their life.

You must understand that while some ignorant Muslims might practice cultural aspects of other religions even thinking that they are part of Islam, these practices are NOT supported or endorsed by Islam. In fact, these practices are referred to as bida’a or innovation in Islam.

Examples:

- Wearing the black thread on their wrist thinking it will ward of the evil eye.

- Celebrating the deathday of a Muslim on the 3rd and 40th day after the actual death. Deathday may also be celebrated every year in memory of the deceased. Ignorant Muslims actually think this is Islamic. Roots might be Hinduism.

- Believing that the widow is bad luck for a new bride at her wedding, as well as generally belittling the status of widows. Hindu culture.

- Grave worshiping. Hindu?

- Using a human being as an intercessor to communicate with God. We have special names for these kind of ignorant Muslims in my country – peers. Perhaps, Christianity.

- Belief in Charms, Amulets, Superstitions, Omens etc. Christianity?

- Even Belief in Quranic charms (e.g. wearing a miniature Quran on the neck for protection, and passing the Quran over someone’s head thinking it will bring luck). These practices are probably adapted from pre-Islamic cultures.
