Faucet cartridge is really stuck!?
So here’s the deal….I am trying to replace the cartridge in my shower fauce (I already did the bathtub without to many difficulties). I have the water turned off and the “special” core tool to pull out the brass center – silver part already came out. I was able to get the tool locked into the brass part but no matter how much I pull the brass part will not come out! I have tried CLR for the past 4 hours….I need another idea. Currently the tool is still in place since I can’t get that out either. I really want to turn my water back on. Please give me some ideas on how to get this stupid brass piece out so that I can put the replacement in.
Yes, I did remove the retaining clip – I learned that doing the bathtub cartridge!….Thanks for the suggestion unfortunately that’s not it…..
Call the plumber before you break something. They are the people who sabotaged the plumbing so let them deal with it. I dont understand why plumbers, mechanics etc. dont use some kind of thread lubricant, Geez.
